BROWN RICE

First time kong nakakain ng brown na kanin. Masarap pala. Mabigat sa tiyan. Mabigat din sa bulsa.

Sa long run, mas sulit ang brown rice (or mukhang red rice). Since its mostly water (2:1 vs 1.5:1) mabigat sya pero di sa calories. May fibre and Complex Carbs na nakakatulong mag-prevent ng weight gain. Importante ang Complex Carbs, kasi mas matagal bago ka maguguom. Masama lang ang complex carbs kung athlete ka at kailangan ng fast burning energy kagaya ng sugar or white rice.

Welcome to the club, Valiente.
If ever I would eat rice, rest assured that it's brown. White rice is nothing but junk, junk, junk. No nutirents, almost no fibre. Wehereas, brown rice is intact and complete.

buti na lang marami na akong nakaing ganyan noong bata pa ako. murang-mura lang 'yan noon kasi walang bumibili dahil iba ang lasa kaysa puting kanin.
