HUGO YONZON CARICATURE CONTEST

• Open to high school and undergraduate college students in the Philippines
• Participants must have the endorsement of his/her school principal or dean
• Subject: Any Filipino celebrity or widely known personality from the field of entertainment, sports or politics
• Size of artwork: 15”x20” illustration Board
• Medium: Ink and coloring materials (watercolor, colored pencil, oil, acrylic, pastel color,etc). computer or inkjet coloting not accepted
• Participants must leave artwork unsigned. Instead, a duly accomplished entry form must be sealed inside a letter enveloped and taped securely at the back of the artwork entry.
• All entries must be received not later than 5 pm on Sept. 30, 2009 by the PICCA contest committee at Marketingworx with address at unit 5and 6 mezzanine B LPL business center, Leeviste St. Salcedo Village Makati City. Telephone no. (02) 812-2363 and Telefax. (02) 894-3465
• Announcement and Awarding of Prizes will be on October 18, 2009 at the komikon in Megatrade hall, SM Megamall
• Prizes:
First Prize – P15,000.00
Second Prize – P12,000.00
Third Prize – P10,000.00
3 Consolation Prizes – P3,000.00 each
All prizes are with trophies plus gifts
• All entries shall be the properly of the PICCA and it may publish the artworks as a whole or in part as it may deem of it.
• Criteria for Judging:
Originality of Caricature rendering
Creative likeness to subject matter


LARRY ALCALA CARTOON COMICS CONTEST

• Open to high school and undergraduate college students in the Philippines

• Theme: “Family Is Funny”
• The participant is to create original characters and write an original story for a two-page sequential art or comics
• Size of artwork: 2pcs. 15”x20” illustration Board
• Each page must consist of at least six sequential panels or frames
• The work should start with the title
• Medium: Ink and coloring materials (watercolor, colored pencil, oil, acrylic, pastel color,etc) or inkjet. Work in Black and White is acceptable
• Participants must leave artwork unsigned. Instead, a duly accomplished entry form must be sealed inside a letter enveloped and taped securely at the back of the artwork entry.
